This past week I had the pleasure of attending a briefing by Health Technology Groups and Healthcare Policy professionals on Technology Solutions for the Opioid Crisis. The briefing took place at the Hart Senate Office Building on Monday, October 1st. Discussed at the briefing was information about (S.2680) passed by the Senate after the House passed a comprehensive measure in June. The briefing included information about the $3 billion increase to address the addiction crisis which is part of a $7.4 billion total investment for 32 key programs comprising the federal government’s response to the addiction crisis.
The Monday briefing set the stage for the week positively influencing the substance of communications and interactions in meetings and other related social interactions. The week was an intensely active week covering a broad gamut of activities and topics ranging from the Opioid crisis to the advancement of combined 4G-5G networks as potential solutions for greater access to enhanced services and interoperability to rural, urban and metropolitan regions.
