Ms. Pichanick’s experience and insights were broadly expanded through her involvement in several large corporate acquisitions, and subsequent integration of these acquisitions. Her participation involved managing internal and external communications ensuring synchronization of internal efforts to projected outcomes, and that these outcomes aligned with external messaging and information to third-party professionals, capital markets and investors. In recent years, Ms. Pichanick has concentrated her focus in the healthcare industry with hyper focus on the development of technologies that aggregate and curate data from multiple disparate sources (information), and development of associated solution sets (knowledge) for the business and financial aspects of healthcare that help to reduce healthcare costs and assist healthcare professionals with delivery of improved patient care. David Hultsman is a senior executive with more than 25 years of Fortune 250 experience, having served as Vice President and CIO/CTO for major airlines, banking software development, telecommunications services, oil/gas energy corporations, and health services. Mr. Hultsman has led significant M& projects, long-range strategy development, global infrastructure optimization and technology innovation initiatives. He is characterized as a creative consensus builder, with leadership roles in cross-industry innovation, Airline Reservation Systems development, commodity Trading Floor applications, Enterprise data warehouse solutions and large-scale back office system implementations. Recent experience includes major consulting assignments centered upon corporate governance for Fortune 500 companies and interim technology leadership for the development of internet-based solutions, web-based application products and global transaction exchanges. Mr. Hultsman holds an MBA in International Marketing Management from the University of Dallas; an MA in Psychology; and, a BA in Social Science from Southern Methodist University. He has been a featured speaker at many industry conferences sponsored by organizations like IATA, ATA, API, AOPL, Gartner Group and Forrester Research.
Gene Hicks serves as SVP, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and as a key member of KPN’s senior management team. Mr. Hicks has spent over 25 years in leadership positions within the healthcare industry focused on commercial strategies and financial success. As CCO, Mr. Hicks leads the marketing and sales of KPN’s Advisory and Data Services, Application Products, and the identification of new revenue-generating activities and opportunities. Mr. Hicks is highly skilled at the application of business methodologies and technology centric solution sets to the healthcare industry. Mr. Hicks holds a BS in Economics from Davidson College and completed his accounting sequence studies at the University of North Carolina.
Mr. Unger brings a unique blend of legal experience and knowledge to the General Counsel position that aligns exceedingly well with KPN’s vision and strategies for expansion in the healthcare industry. Having practiced law in the corporate and private sectors, his special expertise in intellectual property and healthcare law provides valuable guidance to KPN’s board of directors, senior management and professionals navigating KPN’s measured growth in the healthcare industry. Mr. Unger is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin School of Law; is a member of the Texas and California State Bars and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
As VP, Sales Engineer – IT, Mr. May fulfills the critical role of connecting the clinical and technology aspects of KPN’s services and solution sets with management and client/customers. This connection enables delivery of high quality services, solution sets and products required for commercial success. Mr. May utilizes his many years’ experience in Health Information Technology (HIT), and his many years’ experience working with KPN’s client/customers to provide executional excellence to KPN’s clients/customers for the benefit of KPN. More specifically, Mr. May manages measured calculations and submission processes for MIPS/MACRA (formally PQRS) Quality reporting and the annual ACO Web Interface submission cycle. He has been involved in PQRS Quality Reporting since 2007 (PQRS reporting inception). Mr. May’s expert level understanding of the correlation between EMS quality reporting programs and structured EMR data, plus his deep understanding of translation of Quality Measure specifications to actionable digital formats for accurate and complete measured calculation is highly regarded. Mr. May is a graduate of Texas A&M University.
Judy Leever, RN, MS, CPH
Judy Leever, RN, MS, CPHQ serves as Director, Healthcare Informatics. Ms. Leever is responsible for the oversight of the QPP Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) program and assists KPN clients to understand MIPS measures and serves as an analytics resource for data improvement. Previously, Ms. Leever served as Data Analytics Manager/Senior Nursing Consultant/Quality Analyst for the Quality and Patient Safety Department for Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. During her employment, Ms. Leever oversaw data management related to electronic medical records, supplemental databases and other software tools; and, provided system wide analytical support. In addition, Ms. Leever has experience in designing and developing quality data-driven dashboards. Ms. Leever received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Ohio State University. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) which signifies professional and academic achievement for those in the field of healthcare quality management at all employment levels and in all healthcare settings.
Crystal Pike RN, MSN
Crystal Pike RN, MSN previously served as Director for Quality Performance and Clinical Informatics, a division of Triad Healthcare Network in Greensboro, NC. Triad Healthcare Network is part of the Moses Cone Health System that consist of employed and independent providers in the region. Crystal brings more than 24 years of experience as a nurse and holds her Master’s degree in Nursing. Previously, Crystal provided patient care and management in multiple settings (inpatient and outpatient), and progressive leadership/management in hospice care. Crystal provides education, monitoring, team building, and serves as a resource for multiple physician practices and stakeholders within the Health system. Crystal received her MSN, Nursing Education, from Grantham University and RN from Watts School of Nursing.
Arthur Yazdandoost serves as VP, Information Systems bringing more than 25 years of experience in a variety of Information Technology roles. Mr. Yazdandoost has led major initiatives in several industries including Healthcare, Energy, Transpiration, Technology, Governmental, and Retail Services. Throughout his career, Arthur has worked with tiered stakeholders developing business and technology enterprise solutions resulting in increased revenue and alignment of organizational/marketing goals. He is characterized as being practical, creative and goal oriented in cross-industry innovation having both domestic and international leadership successes to his credit. Recent experience includes leading the implementation of Data Repositories for Clinical Informatics, Enterprise Data Warehouse solutions, Transactional Web Applications and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Mr. Yazdandoost holds a B.S. in Mining Engineering from University of Missouri, Rolla and has conducted extensive graduate research at University of Arizona on “Radioactivity Effects of Man-Made Plugs” under Nuclear Regulatory Commission grants.
Dr. Ed Bujold MD, FAAFP
Dr. Edward Bujold, MD, FAAFP serves as an Associate of KPN Management Partners; and, Chief Physician Strategist of KPN Health, Inc. where he brings his extensive knowledge and experience as a practicing family physician to help guide development of KPN Health’s suite of business software products, services and solutions designed to aide healthcare professionals in achieving the Triple Aim – improved quality metrics, reduced healthcare costs and more satisfied patients. He intimately understands the issues practicing physicians struggle with on a daily basis, including the challenges of patient-centered medical home (PCMH) certification, PQRS and Meaningful Use reporting, patient engagement, and meeting pay-for-performance (P4P) metrics. Dr. Bujold has been providing personalized, leading edge family medicine for more than 25 years. He currently manages his own practice, Granite Falls Family Medical Care Center, and has been named “One of America’s Best Family Doctors” by the Consumer Research Council of America.
Annie Doyle holds the position of Chief Administrative Officer for KPN Health. In this key role she is responsible for administrative matters, facilitation, interdepartmental interaction and operational oversight. Prior to joining KPN, Ms. Doyle served as Manager, Meeting Services with Tenet Health where she was charged with the planning and management of corporate governance meetings and executive leadership events, staff management, oversite and organization of daily department operations. Ms. Doyle received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from The University of Tulsa.
Michael Platt serves as President of KPN Management Partners. With over 30 years of corporate leadership experience, Mr. Platt is expert in healthcare operational and financial optimization and is highly skilled in strategic planning, financial analysis and operations. In his role as President of KPN Management Partners, Mr. Platt works closely with the management team of healthcare organizations to assess and develop solutions to the issues they face in an ever changing and increasingly complex healthcare environment. Mike received his BA in Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa and resides in Austin, Texas.
Brandy Killion, RN, BSN, MS
Over 20 years of experience in healthcare and health IT consulting and advisory, Ms. Killion is a subject matter expert in CMS, HEDIS STARS, NCQA and other payor quality measures and strategies. She is highly skilled at driving clinical and business transformation through widespread adoption and integration of health IT. Ms. Killion has lead the design and implementation of KPN's population health management portfolio of products including EHR and claims data extraction and integration, attribution methodology, eMPI, clinical and financial dashboards, CMS and Medicare Advantage quality measures and reporting specifications; MACRA MIPS/APM, ACO GPRO, MU, HEDIS, BPCI, NCQA, PCMH, payor risk management, care management, and clinical decision support. Ms. Killion holds a master’s degree in nursing; Health Administration and Health Policy from George Mason University.
John D. (Jack) Kearney, Sr.
Jack Kearney is a senior executive with more than 26 years of experience as a corporate finance advisor to both public and private companies in raising equity and debt capital, developing and executing M & A strategies, restructuring debt or redeploying assets, and implementing business process improvement programs. Mr. Kearney brings deep financial advisory expertise having managed offerings in excess of $2B of publicly-traded securities, $300MM of privately-placed securities, and merger & acquisition transactions values at more than $500MM.
Founding Member of Dumas Capital Partners, LLC, Mr. Kearney spearheaded and developed the acquisitional growth strategy that resulted in the strategic and tactical acquisition of the controlling interest of 10 cross industry distributors located in 10 countries with revenue of approximately $1.2B.
Mr. Kearney received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from State University of New York; Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration in 1981 from Duke University. Mr. Kearney was licensed in Georgia as an attorney in 1982 and as a Certified Public Accountant in 1984.
Gabriel Palomarez, Project Engineer
With over 18 years of RF Engineering experience, Gabriel Palomarez has led and managed large-scale network projects including design, implementation, roll-out and optimization with various energy, telecommunications companies and Tier One cellular carriers. His vast expertise and knowledge in the design of indoor GPS location networks for First Responder use are an asset to KPN. In his role as Project Engineer, Gabriel provides strategic leadership for KPN’s special projects and their pathways. Gabriel holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arlington.

Mr. Navarro has advised and served on senior executive teams and boards of directors in multiple industries in a wide range of business situations, transactions, negotiations, and judicial and non-judicial reorganizations. He is recognized as an experienced innovative thinker - action-oriented leader who achieves targeted objectives and results. His broad experience enables him to incorporate cross-industry ‘best practices’ to business situations for the benefit of his clients.
